Responsibilities for this position include accuracy in managing and dispatching system resources, coordination of public safety incidents, processing of 911 calls, facility transport coordination, administrative call taking and radio operation. Detail oriented with a high accuracy rate and an ability to learn geography, streets and territorial assignments.Must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse
(Full or Part Time)
This position is responsible for Ground Transport of critically ill and injured neonatal, adolescent, adult, and high-risk obstetrical patients. This position is able to provide assessment, stabilization, and continuous acute care during transport. Responsible for performing all relevant respiratory therapy, modalities necessary throughout transport. Must be highly skilled and able to work as a member of an autonomous three (3), person critical care transport team. Assists in transport coordination, patient preparation/teaching, patient evaluation and treatment, before and during transport. Must have ability to communicate effectively with referring and receiving medical personnel, before, during, and after transport.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- State of Colorado Registered Nurse
- CPR
- ACLS
- TNCC
- PALS
PREFERRED:
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-years clinical experience, 1.5 years of which in Adult Critical Care (ICU/ER).
- L&D and Neonatal experience preferred.
- Previous transport experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SPECIAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent physical assessment skill.
- Extensive cardiac and respiratory pathophysiology as well as traumatic airway and neonatal knowledge base.
- Extensive multi-system, trauma, and obstetrical knowledge base.
- Ventilator management skills and knowledge preferred.
- Rapid problem solving and autonomous decision making skills
- Teaching experience preferred, however interest and willingness to receive training as a health care instructor also considered.
- Experience with intraaortic counterpulsation therapy (balloon pump) preferred, must be willing to cross-train to operate and maintain.
- Hemodynamic monitoring experience mandatory.
- IV placement experience (central and peripheral) mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of specialized, technical or professional field.
- Required to keep current with periodicals and literature.
- Requires basic skills in clerical and computer skills.
- MUST be willing to have flexible work schedule. Shifts are M-F from Noon to 9:00pm. Part time RNs are required to work a minumum of one shift per month. The position may be eligible for full time status upon availability of successful applicant(s).

Mechanic
(Part Time)
Repair and maintain company vehicles and mechanical equipment (such as diesel engines, hydraulic systems) within the regulations and standards set by DOT, and CO DMV and Rural/Metro. Must be at least 18 years old and have GED or high school diploma. Recommends changes in procedures to improve Operations. Assists in other areas of the operations as needed. Ensures consistent and proficient utilization of medical and communications equipment; maintains a positive, professional relationship with field personnel, fleet operations, administrative staff, and associated law enforcement agencies, fire, and medical personnel; demonstrates a positive leadership role.
